Betty George (April 11, 1926 – November 16, 2007) was an American singer of Greek descent. She was a soloist during the big band era.
George was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. At school she was known as a beauty and she went to New York where she sang with big bands including Glen Gray. She worked for over 16 years with Milton Berle.[1]
In the 1970s and 1980s she revived her career when she became a regular guest on local TV in Albany. [2]
George died in Albany, New York in Albany where she was living but was buried in New Hampshire.
